1) Summary

Technology is a method and process used to produce goods or services or to achieve goals. There are various forms, such as agriculture, electric vehicles, computers, and houses.

Mobile phones have brought great changes to society by allowing calls to be made without having to connect to a telephone line. Social norms about mobile phone use have developed, and people disagree about when and where to use them. There is also an increasing dependence on smartphones.

Social networks have benefits such as building business networks and maintaining communication with family and friends, but unpleasant behavioral records can remain, which can harm an individual's future. Gender inequality also exists on social networks, and women who post sexual photos can receive negative reviews.

The majority of Americans enjoy video or computer games, and boys play more games than girls.

Video games have the advantage of improving attention, but they have the disadvantages of negative health effects and increased violence. However, the impact is insignificant.


2) Something interesting or new that I learned

The connection between technology and changes in social customs is interesting. In addition to the smartphones exemplified in the document, people's behavior and thinking habits have changed whenever technology emerges in our history, such as newspapers, TV, and SNS. In the past, the influence and trust of mass media were very great and influenced people's behavior, but today, information from TV can be checked through their own smartphones, which does not immediately affect people's behavior. In addition, technology is sometimes created according to changes in people's thoughts. I think it's interesting in this regard, so I want to learn more about the relationship between technology and changes in social behavior and thinking patterns.


3) Questions & Discussions

How much do you consider when you post on social networks? Does it consider the impact it will have on your future self or society? This was my thought while reading the social networking section of the document. Many people post their good looks, but sometimes they lament a negative situation of themselves. If you ever posted such like that, why would it be?
