1. summary

Sociologists say that by the difference between geners and sexes, "gender" simply means an attempt to classify not only the male or female self, but also others in terms of the expression of the male or female self. However, sex generally means being socially categorized based on genetic and biological factors perceived by medical, religious, or government authorities. There are several distinct physiological differences between men and women. The average height and weight of men and women are different because they are different in genitals and sex chromosomes. Also, women often outlive men. The age of sitting, getting wet, and walking occurs around the same time for both women and men, but men reach puberty on average of two years later than women. There are gender differences, too, in labor and education.

2. interesting points

It was memorable that the labor participation rate of women increased significantly from 1971 to the early 2020s. This is because it is an important indicator of women's improvement in economic independence and social status. However, it was surprising that women still earn less than men despite the increase in their participation in labor. In particular, it was regrettable that even women with equal qualifications were paid less than men, and I thought it was important to find solutions to these gender-based structural inequalities.

3. question

How can I solve the ethical issue of gender discrimination?

Comments

  1. One intriguing aspect highlighted in this text is the significant increase in women's labor force participation from 1971 to the early 2020s. This trend stands out as a crucial indicator of women's economic independence and social advancement. However, despite the rise in women's labor force participation, it's striking that women still earn less than men, even when possessing equivalent qualifications. Addressing this structural gender-based inequality becomes imperative.

Moreover, the discussion around gender discrimination raises ethical questions about how to address such issues effectively. Finding solutions involves implementing policies and initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality in various spheres of life, including employment, education, and healthcare. Additionally, fostering awareness and promoting a cultural shift towards gender equality through education and advocacy can play a vital role. Creating inclusive workplaces, challenging gender stereotypes, and advocating for equal pay and opportunities are essential steps towards combating gender discrimination ethically.
