 1. Summary : It explains the social and political context surrounding race and ethnicity. Race is a classification based mainly on physiological characteristics, and in the past, essentialist views that value genetic and physiological differences dominated. Increasingly, as we enter the modern society, there has been a strong tendency to understand race as a socially constructed concept. Ethnicity, unlike race, is mainly based on social characteristics and is linked to an individual's self-identity. It also describes prejudice and discrimination, structural, historical, and cultural racism.

2. Interesting or unusual things: The most interesting part was explaining about structural racism. I was surprised to see examples of racial discrimination based on system within an organization or system from my prejudice that I thought racism was only recognized culturally and socially. It was also impressive to think that racism is one of the problems we have to overcome to make a better society.

3. Question : What are some ways to promote interracial understanding and cooperation in a multicultural society? How do you think global citizenship education should be conducted?
