 -Summary

Today's article is talking about race and ethnicity. First of all, race is the concept of classifying people according to their biological characteristics. Race can lead to a false belief that certain races are superior to others. Historically, race has been formed on social and political grounds.

An ethnicity is a group of people who share a common cultural heritage, language, religion, nationality, etc. Ethnicity influences people's perception of belonging to a particular group.

These races and ethnicities can lead to discrimination, which leads to colonialism and slavery.

-Interesting point

I found it interesting about the effects of immigration and multiculturalism. Immigration is common in the era of globalization. Immigration is complicating racial and ethnic issues. A son and a daughter from a variety of ethnic groups may be considered a new race. It was interesting because ethnic groups and races today seem to have diversified, unlike in the past, when people were simply divided into races and ethnic groups.

-Discussion

What are the implications of globalization on issues of race and ethnicity?

Comments

  1. This article delves into the concepts of race and ethnicity and offers some thought-provoking insights. In particular, I was intrigued by the discussion of the impact of globalization on racial and ethnic issues. Globalization has made immigration common, making racial and ethnic issues more complicated. The article mentions that immigration may have led to the diversification of races and ethnicities, which is in stark contrast to the simple racial and ethnic classifications of the past. This sparked my thoughts on how globalization affects racial and ethnic issues.
