1. What was interesting about this video was that it analyzed life extension from various perspectives by presenting technical support such as seat belts and the view that it can reduce human damage due to social institutions as well as ways to prevent biological aging in the topic of life extension. It also presented a scientific basis that immortality is not possible by presenting entropy's claim that the point of view of 'immortality' cannot exist. Through this, it indirectly suggested that life should be important even if life is extended.
2. The video above focuses on technically slowing aging. An example is recovery through nanomachines. However, at the beginning, it also suggested that technical support and social institutions can prolong life.
3. The link between this video and our class is economy. Currently, most countries are adopting pension systems. However, the problem with these pension systems is that as the aging era approaches, the number of elderly people each young man has to support increases. However, if the life expectancy is extended, they will be able to work at their retirement age, but most will be reluctant to work. They will also try to prepare for retirement through such pension systems. When the time comes when they can have a child and live until their child becomes a grandfather, the great-grandchild will have to bear at least three elderly people. If so, they can get rid of the pension system, but the problem is that it is not easy, either, because of the aforementioned problems. If these technologies are actually developed, these economic systems should be improved first.
