C. A 'Reality Check' on Social Media

1. In this speech, Nora Ucari first threw out the idea to make people think: what would life be like without social media? Then he listed the disadvantages of long-term use of social media one by one, but he did not completely deny social media, and also faced up to the convenience it brings to life. She combines her own experience and puts forward some suggestions for social media improvement, which is very convincing.

2. My point is that social media has two sides.

For children and teenagers, social media can do more harm than good. Because for children in the growth stage, long-term use of electronic products will greatly damage vision, so the rate of myopia in children has increased greatly in recent years. Secondly, many messages on social media are not suitable for minors to watch, and children who accept wrong information are easy to go astray, affecting their academic performance and affecting their ability to know the world with their eyes and hands. My niece is so immersed in social media that she has been suffering from myopia since she was in elementary school, so I am very aware of this and am guiding her properly away from electronic devices.

But for adults who have the ability to think independently, social media has greatly facilitated people's lives. People can work at home without leaving their homes, or they can make video calls with their families overseas, and they can consult a large number of materials to enrich their knowledge.

However, I personally recommend that social media should be used appropriately and correctly. Make it play a good role and help human civilization progress.
