 1. Summary

Deviation refers to behaviors that violate culturally established norms. It is divided into formal crimes and informal violations of norms. The structural functionalism approach argues that deviations play an important role in society. It plays a role in maintaining social balance, distinguishing between acceptable and non-acceptable behaviors, and promoting social integration. The stigma theory argues that deviations occur through stigma. These stigma shapes an individual's identity and can lead to deviant behavior.

2. Mention of any new, interesting

One of the reasons why crime statistics are interesting is that they show the gap between social perception and reality. Since many people get their perception of crime from the media, their perception may differ from the real situation. These crime statistics help prevent crime by understanding crime patterns and trends and optimally allocating the resources of law enforcement agencies. As above, effective responses to problems should be made through efficient use of crime statistics.
