1.SUMMARY)

The goal of sociology is firstly impulse control and the development of conscience; secondly, preparation for and performance of roles in institutions such as job roles, gender roles, marriage, and parenthood; thirdly, the cultivation of meaning, or the cultivation of what is important, valuable, and essential to live by.

In other words, socialization is the process of preparing individuals to function in social life.

Socialization is divided into two parts: primary socialization, which occurs in early childhood and adolescence, and secondary socialization, which occurs throughout life when encountering new groups that require additional socialization.

Not all socialization is voluntary, nor is it always successful.

The importance of socialization lies in the fact that when children raised in the wild are abandoned or run away, they may have experienced trauma prior to their abandonment.

Socializing individuals who have been isolated from a very young age into relatively normal members of society is extremely difficult, and such individuals may require meticulous care throughout their lives.

Annette distinguished between broad socialization and narrow socialization beyond the division of socialization into primary and secondary.

Broad socialization is aimed at promoting independence, individualism, and self-expression, while narrow socialization is aimed at promoting obedience and conformity.

It was interesting to explain the meaning of socialization in terms of broad and narrow concepts.

If one fails to undergo proper socialization during childhood, it can lead to trauma necessitating meticulous care throughout life.

But what happens if they don't experience proper secondary socialization?

Why is it that only trauma resulting from socialization deficiencies in early childhood, the primary socialization process, seems to be emphasized?

    Failure to go through an appropriate socialization process can limit the ability to recognize and express emotions. This can lead to a lack of emotional intelligence, which can lead to emotional problems such as stress, depression, and anxiety.     I believe that the bond a child develops with his or her parents during primary socialization has an important impact on his or her life. This seems to be emphasized because it is believed that the first socialization must go well in order to proceed well to the second socialization.
