Summary

a sociologist

Gender - Social status perceived by individuals within culturally established names of male and female behavior

- a person who means a male or female ego

Sex- Generally refers to the category of social composition and distribution of individuals based on biological factors detected in medicine, religion, and home

the distinction between cis-sex/gender people and trans-sex/gender people

cis sex/gender people - those who conform to existing concepts of sex and gender within a given social, historical, cultural, political and scientific context

Transsex/gender people - those who do not conform to existing concepts of gender within a given social, historical, cultural, political and scientific context

Transgender men are designated as women at birth, but try to learn and display symbols, codes, and clues that will be interpreted first as boys and later as men

Limits: In other societies and historical times, they face constant surveillance, bullying, and discrimination with the support of scientific and religious organizations

A socially constructed interpretation of human behavior patterns in both gender and sex

the difference between a man and a woman

Biological differences: The average man is 10 percent taller, 20 percent heavier, and 35 percent stronger in the upper body than the average woman.

-> Speculation that these physiological differences may have been influenced by social/cultural decisions in the evolutionary past

Socio-psychological Differences: Gender differences depend on society, environment, historical context, and/or culture. [Social construct]

an interesting point

I thought the words of gender and sex had the same meaning because they both meant sex, but it was interesting because there was a difference. In addition, I was able to sympathize with the differences between men and women traditionally held in the text. I found that women were relatively more emotional and sensitive than men, while men were more active, dominant, and generally brave and active. However, I think there is a possibility that it can always change fluidly depending on the environment in which it lives and the influence of the people around it. In particular, in terms of personality, I was able to sympathize with the content more because I had experiences that changed according to the social environment.

In addition, I thought that a society that lives harmoniously with respect and understanding each other should be formed, not with stereotypes about the differences between traditional men and women.

a discussion or question

Is there a country that doesn't have a lot of gender discrimination issues?

If so, how can we apply the problem-solving methods and systems that the country has to our country?
