W12.1 May 20 (Mon) - Kim Seoyoung(김서영)

 1. Summary

Draturgy is a micro-social theory that explains social interactions through the turbulence of theatrical dramas. The theory analyzes interactions by dividing them into "actors," "audience," and various "front" and "back" stages. It is understood that an individual's identity is constantly reconstructed through interactions. However, there are also claims that draturgy should only be applied when the theory is related to the entire organ that is designed and criticism that it does not contribute to the goal of sociology.

2. Mention of any new, interesting

It was interesting that Draturgy could also be applied to the social media aspect. Users selectively control their images and content, which has to do with self-expression. Users want to express themselves, but on the other hand, they can be influenced by the interests and reactions of their followers. I think this provides a new perspective in exploring the complex interactions between online interactions and personal identity formation.

3. Discussion

How does building or maintaining an idealized image in a social situation such as on stage affect the relationship with reality?
