 Summary

Symbolic Interactionism is a sociological theory that focuses on the process by which social actors generate and interpret meaning through symbols and languages. The theory sees the human self and society formed and maintained through interaction. The main theorists were George Herbert Mead and Herbert Blomer, who argued that the meaning that people give to things stems from social interaction. Symbolic interaction theory plays an important role in micro-social studies and social psychology. This is because shared symbols are needed for people's communication in micro-social studies, and the reason this theory is important in social psychology is that the content of psychological analysis can vary depending on the meaning shared symbols in society are used.

Interesting point

I learned that symbols have a great influence on communication, and if the symbols shared with each other are different, there is a considerable difficulty in communication.

Question 

The Korean dialect is also a symbol, but it is very difficult to communicate. Do these dialects exist in foreign cultures, and does it cause great difficulty in communicating?
