1) Summary

Social structure is the concept of seeing the relationship between various individuals or groups as a stable pattern, emphasizing the idea that society is grouped into structurally related groups or sets of roles with various functions, meanings, or purposes. This means the concept that society is divided into different classes based on social distinctions such as race, class, disability, and gender. The social treatment of individuals within a social structure is related to their background, which is called structural decision. Structural decision describes the behavior of people and organizations guided by the basic structure of the social system. Social structure affects important social systems such as economy, law, politics, and culture, and families, religions, laws, the economy, social classes, etc. all belong to it. Social structure consists of interrelationships, patterns of sustained behavior, institutionalized norms, etc., which can obscure systematic bias as it consists of identifiable variables such as gender. Modern social structure analysis considers various aspects through techniques such as multivariate analysis, but there are still challenges to combining them together as a whole.

2) Interesting points/studies

One of the interesting things is that the social structure affects various social systems, emphasizing understanding and connectivity to various domains such as economy, law, politics, culture, etc. This shows that we need a comprehensive and diverse perspective, not a single perspective, to understand and change society. In addition, given that the social structure consists of interrelationships, behavioral patterns, and normative norms, we get a glimpse of how complex and diverse aspects society is. This diversity shows that modern social structure analysis is a challenging task. However, by understanding this diversity and considering the various aspects, it is expected that we can contribute to building a better society.

3) Questions or points to discuss

What are some ways to solve the difficulties in understanding and analyzing the complexity of social structures?
