 1. Summary

Socialization refers to the process through which we engage in social interaction and communication with others. It encompasses the skills and behavioral patterns necessary for us to form and maintain relationships with others. Socialization is a fundamental aspect of our human existence, playing a crucial role in our ability to integrate socially and develop as individuals within society. Socialization can take various forms. Firstly, language and verbal communication are essential aspects of socialization. Through language, we share thoughts, convey emotions, and exchange ideas, enabling mutual understanding and interaction. Secondly, cultural norms and customs are integral parts of socialization. We learn what behaviors are appropriate or inappropriate in our culture and society, and by adhering to these norms, we become socially accepted and capable of effective interaction. Thirdly, emotional intelligence and social intelligence play vital roles in socialization. The ability to recognize and understand the emotions of others and respond appropriately is crucial for maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships. Additionally, the ability to select and execute appropriate behaviors in social situations is important. Socialization begins in childhood and continues throughout life. Children acquire and develop social skills through family, school, friends, media, and other social influences. Even as adults, we continue to adapt and learn in response to new social situations. Ultimately, socialization is an essential process for our social existence. It enables us to form and maintain relationships with others, contributing to our social integration and development within society.

2. Interesting Point

The relationship between socialization and death was incredibly fascinating. When I thought of socialization, what came to mind was the vibrancy felt in everyday life or culture between people. However, Marshall associated socialization with death as well. As a sociologist, Marshall played a significant role in exploring concepts related to socialization. His theory of socialization helps understand it from the perspectives of social interaction and cognitive development. According to Marshall's perspective,
Death underscores its impact on individuals' social relationships and psychological development. It often serves as a catalyst for reassessing and readjusting our relationships with family, friends, and local communities, influencing our socialization and identity formation. Applying Marshell's theory of socialization, we understand that societal attitudes and practices regarding death are shaped through social interaction and cultural influences, deeply impacting our personal beliefs and values. Moreover, death emerges as a significant subject influencing both our social relationships and psychological development.

3. Question
Entering into modern society, the concept of a 'sustainable society' is being emphasized. This is because technological advancement and environmental protection are always conflicting topics. Therefore, I want to discuss with other students what strategies are used in the process of socialization to promote sustainable values and behaviors.
