It can be understood that effective government operation is possible when the powers of legislative, administrative, and judicial power are separated and there are mutual constraints. The form of government in Korea is a compromise between the American-style presidential system, the British-style parliamentary cabinet system, and the French-style dual-government system. This seems to be the result of reflecting realistic choices according to the history, culture, and political situation of Korea. It is possible to understand what powers and roles government agencies, including the president, have.
