1.Summary:

In government, authority is often used interchangeably with the term power. However, authority refers to a claim to the right to exercise justified power. Max Weber divided authority into three categories. These are rational law, traditional authority, and charismatic authority. Because the government has authority, it has the right to force people to behave in certain ways based on its authority. Therefore, the government can use violence to suppress individual behavior. The forms of government are divided into democracy, monarchy, totalitarianism, oligarchy, communism, and political parties.

Recent studies show that the gap between conservatives and liberals is widening. As the conflict over these political views becomes stronger, people are able to move to places where people who share their views live through media and social networks.

2. What was interesting/what did you learn:

This is Sweden's multi-party system. No party can gain power alone. A multiparty system is a system in which three or more political parties can be controlled individually or jointly. I want to learn more about other political systems in our country and also think about the reasons why they cannot be applied to our country.

Do more educated people understand politics better?

    While education can enhance individuals' understanding of politics and contribute to greater political knowledge and engagement, it is not the sole determinant. Socioeconomic factors, access to information, critical thinking skills, motivation, cultural background, and the political context all play significant roles in shaping individuals' political understanding and participation. Recognizing these factors is crucial for promoting informed citizenship and democratic engagement across diverse populations.
