Sociology is the study of human social behavior and social organization, involving social structure, culture, institutions, social changes, etc. Sociology is concerned with the relationships between individuals and groups, and with the functioning and evolution of social systems. Research methods include qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as surveys, observations, experiments, etc. Major theories include functionalism, conflict theory, symbolic interactionism, etc. These theories attempt to explain the causes and effects of social phenomena.Economics is a discipline that studies resource allocation and production activities, involving production, consumption, exchange and distribution. Economics focuses on how individuals and organizations use limited resources to meet unlimited needs, and how economic activities affect social development and individual well-being. Research methods include macroeconomics and microeconomics, with the former focusing on the overall economic system and the latter focusing on individual behavior and market mechanisms. The main theories include supply and demand theory, marginal utility theory, Marxist economics, etc. These theories try to explain the emergence and evolution of economic phenomena.

      interesting points:

Sociology involves a variety of theories, such as functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism. These theories vary in the way they explain social phenomena, and there is debate among scholars over which theory has more explanatory power. This theoretical controversy is not only academic, but also reflects the differences and oppositions between different schools and viewpoints.

     Discussion points:

Are there other economic systems? For example, traditional economic systems usually exist in agricultural societies or tribal societies, with families or communities as units. Economic activities are mainly carried out in traditional ways, such as farming, animal husbandry, and handicrafts.

  1. I agree with this one: the variety of theories involved in sociology, such as functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism, really demonstrates the rich diversity within the discipline, each of which attempts to explain social phenomena from different perspectives, and such diversity helps to promote the development of the discipline and the refinement of its theories. This is because theoretical diversity promotes the development of the discipline and because diverse theoretical perspectives help to address complexity. This is all conducive to promoting the development of the discipline and fostering communication and cooperation among academics.

  2. I think social network is also an economic system. In order to expand the economy, the number and role of members of society are also important. I think social network is an effective medium that can increase the number of members of society. This is because we can use it to promote the country worldwide and expect the expansion of the labor force and other industries.

  3. In addition to the modern market economy, there are also traditional economic systems, such as agrarian economy and tribal economy. These economic systems are common in agricultural or tribal societies. They are based on families or communities and rely on traditional methods such as farming, animal husbandry, and handicrafts to carry out economic activities, reflecting a lifestyle of harmonious coexistence with nature and deep social ties.
