 1. Summary

The Free Culture Movement is a social movement aimed at promoting exchange and supporting the free sharing and correction of cultural works while opposing overly restrictive copyright laws and regulations. The core of this movement is to freely distribute and modify creative works without compensation or prior permission from the original creator. The movement considers excessive copyright law to hinder the creativity of many people. The article features activists such as Lawrence Lessig and Stewart Brand, who emerged as major figures in the Free Culture Movement by establishing the Creative Commons Foundation. These led to reflections on events such as the copyright period extension law. The organization provided an alternative copyright larrance option, giving creators greater flexibility in managing their work. The Free Culture Movement received a lot of support but also a lot of criticism. However, despite criticism from copyright supporters, the Free Culture Movement plays an important role in promoting knowledge sharing and cultural creativity.

 2. Interesting Things

For me, who was not familiar with the scope of the clear concept of copyright, it was interesting just to see the story of copyright. It seemed surprising that the free culture movement was a movement that insisted on guaranteeing copyright freely, unlike the interpretation of words individually (Free / Culture / Movement).

 3. Some Questions?

To be honest, I disagree with the free culture movement. This is because allowing excessive freedom to copyrighted works will damage the work's uniqueness. This is because it can also reduce the creative will of creators who create copyrighted works. Of course, it is not that the position of those who support the free culture movement is incomprehensible, but I think the maximum copyright should be guaranteed for creators.
