 1. Summary : Let’s begin an introduction to culture by taking the example in which the United States and India have different views on beef. Although we cannot simply define culture, culture refers to all social and non-biological aspects that we learn acquired after our biological nature. Cultures must be different from country to city. Theses cultures are not bound to be superior or inferior, but relative relationships. Anthropologists argue that cultures were created naturally or as necessary for human evolution. A culture can develop another culture and , as a result, deepen or resolve conflicts. How people view its culture can be divided into self-ethnicism and cultural relativism. Culture is constantly changing. The causes are diffusion theory, intercultural contact, or individual behavior. Cultural sociologists study the meaning, values, and influences of diverse cultures in life

2. Interesting or unusual items : It was interesting that among the various functions of culture, it has the function of maintaing and deepening social cinflicts. I have thought about grafting culture into positive parts, but I did not think about the irrational and unequal parts of culture in the past society.

3. Question or discussion angle : I wonder if there are more cases where each has a different meaning and value when looking at an object in different cultures, just as the US and India have different views on beef, and if so, what it is.

  1. These examples highlight how cultural context shapes the meaning and value of objects, practices, and symbols. Understanding these differences is crucial for cross-cultural communication and can prevent misunderstandings. Researchers, travelers, and global business professionals, in particular, benefit from being aware of such cultural nuances.
